How our services work together
As people, human beings are complex and so are the relationships we create. That includes the unhealthy/abusive ones.
RISE work's with women who are experiencing or escaping violent and/or abusive relationships.
We've always believed it's critical to work with the whole person not slices of them. Not defined by their 'problems' or 'issues' or the way an organisation's services are set up.
Cardiff Women's Aid since its inception has worked to raise awareness and understanding. To educate not only our communities but also our service users. To help them find their path to recovery and a healthier future.
Delivering advocacy at the point of crisis especially for our high risk service users is a critical function of our core direct services. That is why all our specialists are trained Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocates. And also have expertise in all forms of violence against women.
The third piece of the jigsaw is healing. Starting the healing process with women, and their children, is the foundation of change that lasts. RISE offers women the tools to continue their recovery from any form of violence against women. Through our work we are also helping to heal our communities from the devastation that is wrought by domestic and sexual violence and all other forms of violence against women.
